Miscues Lead to Loss
Allentown, Pa. – Joel De La Cruz twirled a career-best seven innings and Zelous Wheeler added three hits, but a miscue by De La Cruz in the second led to an unearned run that proved to be the difference for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) in a 3-2 loss to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Philadelphia Phillies) Wednesday night at CoCa-Cola Park. The loss is the third for SWB in its last four games and moves the RailRiders to 1-5 against the ‘Pigs this season.

The IronPigs added the go-ahead tally in the fourth on a sacrifice fly. Koyie Hill doubled to left and moved to third on a ground ball to right side. Susdorf brought the lead run home on a sacrifice fly to left that pushed the lead to 3-2.
