SWB Yankees Open HOPE Week with Some Pre-Game Fun during a Challenger Little League Game
The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees joined forces with the Rochester Red Wings to host the Fairport, NY and Greece, NY Challenger Little League teams. The two teams played a two-inning game at Frontier Field just hours before the Red Wings and Yankees take the field for game three of a four game series. Following the game many players signed autographs and even sat down for lunch with the Little Leaguers.
Today’s fun will continue tomorrow as HOPE Week concludes when the Yankees and Red Wings hold a clinic for the Boys and Girls Club of America and the Hispanic Youth Baseball Association. The clinic will be followed by lunch and a meet and greet with members of the Red Wings and Yankees.
