SWB YANKEES GAME NOTES – Game #110 (“Home” #58) vs. Pawtucket

7-31 Notes

With the Yankees 2-1 win over the Paw Sox, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre regained first place in the IL North moving one half game back in front of Pawtucket…The change in atop the IL North marks the seventh different time in the last 11 games that the two teams have changed positions between first and second place…The Yankees took over first place for the first time in 2012 on July 21st, before losing the lead on July 23rd. SWB regained the lead on July 24th, dropped to second on July 25th, moved back to first on July 26th and held the top spot until losing to Pawtucket on July 29th. The Yankees are back in first with Monday’s win.

Chris Dickerson extended his current hit streak to seven games picking up a bunt single in his first at bat against Red Sox starter Daisuke Matsuzaka leading off the first inning. During his streak Dickerson is hitting .400 (12-30), with 8R, 2B, 3B, 3HR, 6RBI, 4BB, 4K, SF, 2SB, CS and a GIDP. He has raised his average from .278 to .299 during the current run.
