Pearce is an O…Double Header Take Two

Steve Pearce SWB’s leader in batting average, homers and runs batted in was sent to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations

SWB YANKEES GAME NOTES – JUNE 2nd

6-2 SWB Game Notes

Steve Pearce was sent to the Baltimore Orioles for cash considerations by the Yankees after the O’s inquired about adding the slugger to their 25 man roster.  The Yankees had the first option on Pearce to add him to their 25 man roster but did not do so.  The SWB leader in virtually every offense catagory but stolen bases was officially sent to Baltimore for cash considerations.  He was in uniform for the Orioles 4:10 PM Saturday start in St. Petersburg, FL against the Tampa Rays but was not in the starting line up.

TESTING THINGS OUT…
Ray Kruml tested out his sore left knee prior to the Yankees double header on Saturday vs. the Norfolk Tides at Harbor Park with some full speed running on the baseb paths.  The outfielder has been on the DL since May 19th following a collision with the center field wall at Fifth Third Field in Toledo.  Kruml was trying to track down Eric Patterson’s drive to centerfield when he hit the fence trying to make a spectacular catch on what turned out to be an inside the park home run for the Mud Hens outfielder.
